The production process of steel wire mainly includes raw material selection, removal of oxide sheet, drying, coating treatment, heat treatment, wire drawing, plating treatment and other steps. The specific process is as follows:
Drying: Dry the rod at low temperature after removing the oxidized iron sheet to remove hydrogen and water, prevent hydrogen embrittlement and worsen the use of lubricant.
Coating treatment: A layer of lubricating coating is applied to the surface of the rod to improve the lubrication conditions during the drawing process and reduce friction and heat.
Heat treatment: including raw material heat treatment, intermediate heat treatment and finished heat treatment of three types, designed to improve the structure and performance of the wire rod, eliminate internal stress and work hardening.
Drawing: Under the traction of the wire drawing machine, the wire rod is deformed through the drawing die hole to achieve the purpose of reducing the section and changing the shape. Different types of die such as fixed die, roll die or rotary die may be used in the drawing process.
